So we’ve got you interested have we? Was it the cheap trips away? Or maybe you were enticed by our social side? Whatever it was we unfortunately have to ask for a little money towards the cause. Don’t worry though joining the club is a bargain at just £30 and with that you get all kinds of benefits including:
- Affiliate membership to the British Mountaineering Council (BMC) makes for cheap insurance when mountaineering abroad, and gives you liability cover in the UK
- Access to all the club socials and trips (though a fee is still charged whenever you go on one)
- Access to club gear so you can go climbing without having to buy everything straight away.
- Discounts on gear at a number of Leeds based stores

It’s also always asked what this money you give us is spent on so here’s a brief overview, just so you get an idea:
- We subsidise trips – transport, fuel, and accommodation
- We subsidise socials – The Annual Dinner and the Christmas Celidh
- We buy insurance so that if it all hits the fan we can afford a new fan
- We buy and replace club gear
- We put teams in for BUSA
- And lots of other things besides
